In 2016, Doug Carroll started working at Levinson’s. He serves as a funeral assistant, fulfilling many important responsibilities including ensuring all the details of families’ needs are attended to, driving limousines, delivering shiva items, greeting funeral home visitors, and more. Doug’s awareness of the needs of a family and his constant willingness to lend a hand with anything that needs to be done are what make him such a special part of our team.
Doug is a 3rd generation Baltimorean and grew up in Woodlawn, graduating from Woodlawn High School. He then got a degree in Business Administration from the University of Baltimore. Doug went on to be a branch manager at a Savings and Loan, an underwriter for various insurance companies, and a clerk and caterer for a local pub prior to joining the staff at Sol Levinson & Bros.
When Doug is not at Levinson’s, he finds himself being walked by his dog, he appreciates good times with his friends, and he also enjoys the occasional catering work. Doug is also a bone marrow donor and is justifiably proud of having helped save a young boy’s life. That led to Doug’s ongoing support of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
