The Life Happens Educational Series holds panel discussions covering topics such as:

  • end of life planning for financial, medical and end-of-life matters with loved ones
  • creating a comprehensive binder for your family to provide them with useful information they will need in the event of your death or other emergency

Funeral Home Tours

Often, school groups, Hebrew schools, and adult learning groups alike, learn about Jewish funeral and burial practices as part of their curriculum. In order to enhance students’ experience, we provide full tours of our funeral home as well as expert guidance on ancient Jewish funeral and burial customs.

Hospice Professionals Tours and CEU Presentations

Levinson's feels that our strong relationship with hospice partners is essential to serving a family's needs, and continuing the high level of care for patients and their families. By bringing together Levinson's staff and hospice professionals, we are able to educate one another on the needs of the facility and staff. We strive to create a seamless transition from hospice to the funeral home. Our close relationships with area hospices help us cultivate the chain of care that is an essential goal of every hospice, funeral home and family.

Addiction, especially opioid addiction, has become much more prevalent in our society. In partnership with Jewish Community Services, The Associated, we have developed a series to educate our community on the disease of addiction, treatment options, and the use of Narcan as a life-saving measure.

Suicide Awareness
& Prevention

Suicide deaths have risen over the last several years. In 2018 Sol Levinson & Bros., Chizuk Amuno Congregation, and Jewish Community Services held a seminar at the congregation entitled Raising Awareness: A Jewish Community Gathering and Discussion on Suicide. This program provides an expert overview of suicide, its prevalence, and impact on families and community.
